不, 秋天并不总是人间天堂。这个季节确实会让人血流加速，增加人们的感观享受。然而过度的欢愉最终会导致著名的感恩节后的“节日忧郁症”。更悲惨的是，命运与悲剧令美国的秋天有时比春天更残酷。

秋天是诚实的，它并未自称是天堂。然而几乎所有人都意识到，该季节的特征远不止我们熟悉的令人欢欣鼓舞的白天，宁静的夜晚，明亮的星星，宽广的天空，柔和的黎明和满月；打了霜的南瓜和腐败的树叶，让无数的人跑到新英格兰去看落叶（即使专栏作家罗素巴克一再向他们强调“即使你见过十亿片叶子，也没有全部见识”）。人们普遍没有认识到，秋天正是由于它的与众不同而被大大地美化了。明确地说，它不同与夏天，冬天或春天。

The time is changing the world as well as China.

The area of China’s arable lands is only 7% of that of the world. With so few lands, China supports 1/4 of the global population. What a marvelous achievement!
